Are we a search engine?
No. helpforhumans.org is a directory. Search engines generally use spider software to scan web sites for links. This is all done automatically. We are a directory. This means that all of our records are voluntarily added and each is verified for quality of content before it is added to our database.

What kind of technology do we use?
helpforhumans.org is designed exclusively with open source technology and software

What kind of company are we?
Right now there is no company. There is one guy (me) sitting behind a computer. Insert "I have a dream speech here." My goal is to eventually set up the company as a 501 (c)3 non profit corporation.

Why do we do what we do?
This is a complicated question and the simplest answer is to help people. The vast majority of traffic on the internet is comprised of pornography moving back and forth. I've always thought that there had to be a more humanitarian use for those resources.

Do we have any religious affiliations?
Absolutely and not really. The company itself will be unaffiliated with any church or religious organization. I myself practice the teachings of Christ to the best of my abilities.



How do I add my listing?
Simply go to our add a listing page and fill out the form completely. Your listing will become active within 3-5 business days.

What are the requirements for my listing to be in the directory?
You must offer some type of FREE service. It can be advice, it can be almost any type of free service, but we WILL check to verify that your service is what you say it is. To prevent fraudulent entries, we verify all new entries to the database.

Is my company or associations private information safe?
Since we do not collect any financial information (credit card numbers) this is not an issue. The only "private" information we collect is your private email, which we will never share or use for any marketing purpose. If you have more questions, check our privacy policy.

Will my private information be used for any other purpose?
No. We will never send you any spam, we will never sell your email address to any other outside company or association. For more information, check our privacy policy.

Do I have to make any term commitments or sign any contracts?
No. Your listing will be active for as long as you want it to be, you can remove it any time. You must abide by our terms of service agreement in order for your listing to remain active.

Are there any fees or service charges to add a listing?
No, we do not charge any fee to list your service in our directory.

Can I update, change or delete my listing after I add it?
Yes. Go to our My Helplines page, log in using your email address as your user name and your password and you can make changes or delete your listing.
